TERMS AND CONDITIONS

VEHICLE CONDITION AND USAGE TERMS

1. The Hirer acknowledges that the vehicle was delivered in good condition.
2. The Hirer agrees to take good care of the vehicle and use it responsibly.
3. Vehicle usage is restricted to within the United Arab Emirates ONLY.
4. It is prohibited to drive in:
   
   • Border areas or neighboring countries
   • Dangerous locations: mountains, desert areas, racing zones, or prohibited zones
5. The Hirer must:
   
   • Always drive cautiously and follow road safety regulations
   • Drive at an appropriate speed for the road and weather conditions

DRIVER REQUIREMENTS

1. The Hirer must hold a valid driving license at least 6 months old.

• If not, the Hirer will be liable for 30% of repair costs and spare parts, plus daily rental charges until repair completion.

INSURANCE TERMS

1. Unsafe or improper driving, as reported by traffic police, will not be covered by insurance.

• Driving under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited. In such cases:
  • Insurance will be void

• The Hirer is fully responsible for all damages, repair costs, penalties, and contract cancellation

• In the event of an accident caused by the Hirer:

• An excess insurance charge of AED 1,500 (if applicable) is payable

• If the vehicle is 10 years old and the Hirer is at fault, they must pay 30% of the vehicle’s value

• In single-party accidents (no second party involved), the Hirer is responsible for all expenses

• Insurance is void if the Hirer fails to report an accident immediately to traffic police and Billet Car Rental

FINES AND SALIK TERMS

1. The Hirer is responsible for:

• All traffic violations and penalties

• Salik/Toll charges: AED 5 per pass

• A processing fee of AED 20 and intelligence fee of AED 30 may apply

• A fine of AED 500 applies for smoking in the vehicle

• Unsafe parking that causes damage will make the Hirer liable for costs

• If the Hirer fails to report a traffic violation or damage, they are liable for all repair costs

• Admin fee for accident repair: AED 25,000 + 10% of repair cost

• Billet Car Rental is authorized to charge the Hirer’s credit card for any unpaid fines, damages, or fees

DAMAGE, REPAIR, AND MAINTENANCE TERMS

1. The Hirer is responsible for:

• Fuel, punctures, tires, lost keys, oil and water levels, and spare parts

• All repair costs if damage is due to negligence

• If the Hirer attempts to repair the car without informing Billet, a fine of AED 20,000

will apply

• Vehicle must be returned in clean condition (inside and outside)

• Cleaning fees range from AED 250 to AED 500

• If the vehicle is damaged or lost, the Hirer must pay:

• Repair costs

• Rental charges for days out of service

MILEAGE & USAGE LIMITS

1. Daily usage is limited to 200 km/day

• Excess mileage charges:

• AED 2/km for economy cars

• AED 5/km for medium cars

• AED 10–25/km for supercars (depending on contract)

RENTAL TERMS AND PAYMENTS

1. Charges depend on car type: AED 100 to AED 1300
2. The Hirer agrees to pay the full rental amount plus 5% VAT
3. Payments made on or before rental date are non-refundable (except security deposit)

• The rental period is based on 24-hour cycles

• Late returns are charged as a full additional day

• If the car is not returned on time:

• Fine: AED 2,000

• If mileage exceeds 200 km: Fine increases to AED 5,000

• Outstanding balances must be cleared on return date

• Otherwise, the contract remains open and additional charges apply

SECURITY DEPOSIT AND DOCUMENTS

1. Valid documents (passport, ID) must be submitted as security for fines

• These will be returned once all dues are cleared

• Security deposit refund timelines:

• 21 working days (cash payments)

• 14 working days (transactions)

   • Billet Car Rental is not responsible for any personal belongings or valuables left in the vehicle after return
